No, I'm not about to sing you a selection from the sound of music. It's APRIL (Already?!) and I'm participating in a twitter daily posting challenge. Everyday I will be posting on a letter from the alphabet. Instead of trying to pick from the myriad of topics we write on here at ABD, I'm going to just go ahead and do one running post. And to keep the snark from flowing bountifully, I will keep this on a positive note and do a fave from every letter day by day. So you guys can get to know me, I get to post daily, and everybody gets to be happy.
Ready? OKAY. I feel like I should insert a cheer here. On to THE LIST!
A. Anastasia Beverly Hills - So I will not be turning this into a list of reviews, but this is a brand that's really grown on me. I was very vocally NOT into the big brow filling epidemic of 2013-2014, but ABD's Lola made me a believer. The release of their liquid lipstick just cemented my obsession with this line! (Review on those coming later!)
B. B... B... What begins with B? Clearly a little too much Dr. Seuss in my system. BOWS!!! I'm a grown a%& woman, and yes, I love bows. Now because I am a grown woman, I don't wear them every day, but I have a good collection. My husband even made sure to put a bow on me in this cute animation... and if you want to know why I'm holding a piece of chicken, watch this.
C. IS FOR COOKIE, Of COURSE. I am an infamous cookie monster. If I could be a blue furry cookie eating monster, I would. There is nothing better in my opinion, save for chicken. So I think between yesterday and today I've established for you all how I keep my petite figure. Cookies, Chicken and Coffee, the three C's... That's a lie, but if I could, I would live on just those things!
D. Dreams. This is a loaded one for me. Without delving too deep into religion, that day will come, but it isn't today - my dreams "come true," so to speak. I haven't had a dream I could remember in the past 6 years that hasn't come to pass in some manner or form. I'm also a dreamer in the sense of having that (admittedly annoying) unlimited optimism and "vision," or whatever you would call it. I try not to take myself too seriously, so I wouldn't go as far as to call myself visionary just yet, but I like to think I'm a little outside of the box. As John Lennon said, “You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. And the world will live as one.”
