Simple Summer Smoothies

Simple Summer Smoothies

 Nelly Approved Green Smoothies

Nelly Approved Green Smoothies

There's (almost) nothing I find more refreshing in my on-the-go summer than a fresh smoothie. I became an avid smoothie blender three years ago when I was preparing for my first race and I stumbled across Simplegreensmoothies.com, and their 21 day cleanse program, which was complete with recipes not only for smoothies, but healthy alternative eating. If you're on a 'health' kick or looking for simpler, healthier habits, I would definitely check out their site!

What I love about smoothies are they're easy to make, easy to take if you're always on the run like me and forget to eat often (whoops!), and you can even get the kids involved and get them excited about trying new fruits (and veggies!) To give me (and you!) a reprieve from cooking in a hot kitchen, this week I'm sharing 5 of my favorite smoothie recipes for you to replicate at home! Please tell me what you think and feel free to share your favorite smoothies in the comments section.
