I know, I know, it's November for another full 7 days, but I'm getting this out of the way in anticipation for the ABD Holiday HOT list that will be ready next Monday. So here go a few products I've been gaga over for the month of November:
Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks:
I did an entire liquid lipstick post earlier this month, so I won't go on too long, but I've recently fallen head first for Colourpop's formula. The only formula I've found that was lighter and more long wearing is Jeffree Star Cosmetics' and for a third of the price at $6, I say you can't beat it. My go to shades have been Tulle and Beeper, a mauvy red and nude that I found to be extremely 'brown girl' friendly, no liner necessary.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Palette:
I finally caved and bought this on a whim. I have no shortage of highlighting and contouring products, so I'd been on the fence about buying this baby thinking I'd rarely use it. WRONG. I love it, it's literally a staple in my daily routine since I tried it. The six shades offer variation in contour and highlighting capability from everyday gentle glow to an all out glamorous look. The only drawback is that I find it a little hard to work with without a drop of oil; luckily I keep a dropper and argan oil in my daily makeup bag (moisture people!) With a drop of oil these creams become easy to manipulate and super blendable. Buy it here.
ELF Blush Palette:
I would be lying to say most of ELF's offerings are underwhelming to me. But I saw the shades in this blush quad and figured 'For three bucks? What the heck?' and picked it up at the local Target. Surprise, surprise, I am absolutely obsessed with these shades. They're super pigmented, even on my deeper skin tone, one swipe does the trick. This product also has minimum fall out. I'm enamored with it.
Dior Addict Lipglow:
I've owned this product for quite some time, but recently rediscovered my love for it. Given my current obsession with liquid lipstick, it's safe to say my lips need a little TLC, and this is it. It's soothing and light enough to put on before laying on the matte lipsticks. for $33, I'm sure some would find this a little pricy but of all the lip balms and chap-sticks I've tried, it's the best one for my buck and it's just so darn chic and cute. If your in the mood for something luxe and nourishing, you can get it from Macy's with free shipping here.
