Hello, Gorgeous!

Welcome to my blog. I document my life while running in heels, as well as giving you style, beauty, food, literary findings and a few laughs along the way.

Hope you have a nice stay!

ABD's Beauty Holiday Hit List!

I am head over heels for this season's holiday offerings. So whether you're looking for a gift for your own list or for that certain beauty lover you know, I've rounded up the best for your Christmas Buck! In lieu of a November Favorites post, I bring you my Holiday Hit list of products I love!

Urban Decay Vice 3:

You can read my full review on the Vice 3 here, but this baby packs a whole lot of eyeshadow punch! You get 20 of Urban Decay's velvety formulated shadows in everything from neutral mattes to vivid brights. You can create almost any look with this palette from a quick work appropriate look to something sultry and smoky.  This palette is available at all Urban Decay retailers including Sephora and Ulta for $60.00

MAC Cosmetics "Objects of Affection" Mini Pigment Sets:

I am an absolute fanatic for MAC's loose pigments. They're true to color, opaque, and literally will last you for years to come. Very little will go a long way! I picked these up in the Rose and Navy hues and I'm as pleased as ever with the formula and smooth blending of this product! While I'm always head over heels for the MAC Christmas collections, these coordinated sets are a must buy every year. At $35 for a set of 5, the value on this set is INSANE (a full sized pigment will run you $21 at MAC). Don't forget to put these on your list!

Makeup Forever Studio Case:

A few months ago, Makeup Forever released a limited edition collection of their Artist Shadows that retailed over $300. WHOAH! As much as I would have loved to get my hands on it, it was completely impractical. This baby was totally not though! This is a collection of 12 Artist Shadows organized by looks from casual to bold. It also comes with a full size Artist liner and a small pamphlet on how to recreate the looks! I found the shadows to be extraordinary in their formula and lasting power. At $59 (exclusive to Sephora) this set is a cost efficient way to try out a mix of artist shadows. I loved the train case packaging also.

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick Set:

You can see my full review and swatches of each lipstick here. I bought this set a couple months ago and still love it. Amongst my favorites are Bachelorette and Lovecraft. Since I've only ever used one full tube of lipstick (we'll get to that in a sec!) this is definitely a more economic way to try a load of lipsticks. If you know a lipstick lover who would love a bunch of new shades, this is for her! These are an amazing value as well for $39 - you get nine, yes NINE, minis!

Urban Decay Cosmetics Naked On The Run:

If you've been on this beauty page before you know I live for Urban Decay. I'm particularly fond of their collection of "Naked" products. A brand of neutral shadow pallets that range from browns to grays and rose hues. Recently, Urban Decay announced the release of "Naked on the Run," a conveniently sized kit of everything you need to create the quintessential naked look! This kit includes six new naked shades in Urban Decay's velvety shadow formula, a bronzer blush, a full-size Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss and a travel-size 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil (both new shades), plus a travel-size Perversion Mascara.

This is the perfect gift for someone who is into a more understated look. Not too bold and perfectly sized for travel. This is available now at all Urban Decay retailers for $54.00

Sonia Kashuk All That Jazz 10-piece Brush Set:

Sonia Kashuk has made a name for herself making amazing brushes and cosmetics at an affordable price point. This gorgeous gold gilded brush set is no exception. These brushes have beautiful detailing and their ivory colored bristles make them almost too pretty to use. At $34.99, these brushes cost you about $3.50 each, an incredible value compared to higher end brushes that can cost $40 each! This set includes a domed powder brush, flat top multipurpose brush, angled duo fiber multipurpose brush, foundation brush, eye shadow brush, blending brush, angled duo fiber crease brush, domed pencil brush, synthetic pointed eye liner brush and lash/brow groomer, perfect for creating festive holiday looks for any makeup lover. These brushes are a wonderful edition to any collection. Sonia Kashuk products are sold exclusively at Target and Soniakashuk.com

MAC Heirloom Mix Keepsakes Mineralized Brush Set:

As I already said, MAC's holiday collections offer the best of the best for an incredible value. I picked up this set and haven't put it down for about a month. This set is one of three sets of Special Edition Brushes that MAC has included in their Heirloom Mix collection. These Duo Fibre brushes are perfect for picking up just the right amount of product. This set includes an 187SE Duo Fibre Face Brush - my favorite for a perfect highlight application, 130SE Short Duo Fibre Brush for flawless foundation applications, 286SE Duo Fibre Tapered Blending Brush and 287SE Duo Fibre Eye Shadow Brush. The 130 brush or the 187 retail for $42.00 alone regularly so for $52.50, this set of brushes are a steal. They also come in a gorgeous sparkly cobalt colored bag that's lines in pearls and has a cute cameo zipper. These are available at MAC retail stores and counters or online at maccosmetics.com

For the loved ones on your list who aren't obsessed with beauty products, there will be a few more gift guides coming so look out for them soon! Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Which goodies will you add to your list?
